Mantra is sourced from our quarry in the Dharamshala mountains of India, and subsequently hand-cut and lightly polished. This natural gem is ultrathin and ultralight, making for easy DIY application, yet notably hardy and durable. Our nature stone veneers can be installed at least 6 times faster than traditional stone slabs or porcelain, requiring significantly less labor, yet still providing the best results. The weights are: 24”x48” sheets range from 3 – 5 lbs, 48”x96” from 11 – 16 lbs, and 48”x120” from 16 - 22 lbs, easily handled by 1-2 persons.

  • Ultra-Thin Stone Veneers: Our veneers have thicknesses ranging from 1/16” to 3/16”, making them ultra-thin and unsuitable as countertops or flooring. The surfaces are textured, neither even nor glossy.
  • Scratch Resistance: Slate decors like Asita and Mantra may not be scratch-resistant. To prevent scratches, we recommend using a stone protection sealant.
  • Natural Stone Surface: Each stone veneer is peeled from natural stone, resulting in unique textures. As they are purely natural, each piece is distinct. Tone, veins, and patterns may vary, especially if veneered from different stone slabs. For more consistent patterns, order sufficient pieces of the same size at once.
    Surface Roughness Index (SRI): SRI, ranging from 1 to 4, indicates our veneers' texture roughness. It measures the degree of uneven, undulating surfaces, not texture richness, with 1 being the lowest and 4 the highest.
  • Cutting Method: While SRI 1 – 2 models can be cut with long cut snips, a circular saw or track saw is recommended for all decors for optimal results.
